Detailing & cleaning
We can offer detailing services from simple wash downs to full exterior detailing where we can restore the shine to all of the on deck equipment and surfaces depending on your requirements
Pre-Sale detailing
If you're looking to get top value for your boat it's worth getting your boat into top condition for a photoshoot and buyer inspections. A well maintained pristine looking boat could mean a sale difference of thousands. First impressions count, show prospective buyers they are buying a well looked after boat and they will be happier to pay a higher price
Teak Care
Teak deck and trim suffer from exposure to the environment. sun, cont, foot traffic and mould and mildew from damp conditions. We can safely restore your deck and maintain it to the standard of your liking. keeping the deck looking like new or silver to your taste
Hull & Waterline
The hull can be tricky to maintain, access can be difficult and the surface is susceptible to not only Uv but any scrapes and dings from docking or worse. The waterline just above the antifoul is where the build up of marine growth will mostly occur. Cleaning this area safely and without damaging your boat requires specialist products (acids to dissolve growth) and/or abrasive like polish. On new or recently polished I would recommend installing a paint protection film (ppf) strip above the antifouling to protect your hull. You can clean it without damaging your hull and replace the dirty waterline when appropriate.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel is not. One of the sayings I learned early on in my career on the ocean. Stainless fixtures and fitting can experience corrosion and if left untreated can cause irreversible damage from slight pitting to structural compromise. we offer a services where we polish the stainless on the boat namely stanchions, pushpit/pulpit and other SS. After polishing we then coat the SS with a protective coating to slow the corrosion in future.
Gelcoat polishing & protection
Gel coat polishing & protection is the biggest part of production era sailing yacht restoration. It can turn your boat from looking old and abused to a like new boat in a few days! There are a few different processes depending on the condition of your boat but all end with a smooth, shiny and protected surface. Its most effective on boats from around 1990 onwards as production gelcoat became more prevalent in cruising yachts
Covers & canvas cleaning and protection
Covers are exposed to the elements and protect what's beneath them by taking all the harmful UV rays. On top of the Uv they get dirty and lose their water resistance and colour over time. We can offer a cover cleaning and protection service where clean thoroughly but softly by hand and then apply a protective coating to boost the water repellency and add UV barriers to keep the colour fast.
Mast and rigging cleaning
Mast's and its associated rigging can collect salt and dirt. This not only looks bad but unseen corrosion from a poorly maintained mast can be disastrous. To combat this it's recommended to clean your rig once every few years and to visually inspect at least annually. We can offer a full rigging cleaning service and visually inspect your rigging at the same time. This leaves you with a clean rig and peace of mind knowing what the condition is of the fittings that you cant see from deck level
